Kevin Sinnott

Kevin Sinnott's paintings are full of light - vibrant touches, a lushness to the feel of paint.
Sinnott's scenes are set away from and out of the claustrophobic valley communities found in areas of modern Wales. Tight terraced housing is signalled often in his paintings, but at a remove. His images have epiphanic qualities - somewhat like breaks in weather, or sunbursts after showers. They present moments of intimacy, abandon, and fecklessness, which give the works their rythms and the mixture of reminiscence and the present that they share in equal measure.
